PART VI: MONTE CONERO AND THE ADRIATIC (8/9)

View Europe Travels in a larger map. Don't forget you can click on any picture to make it a bit larger.

Here is Sandro in the super classy hat in his natural environment standing next to the K-T Boundary on Monte Conero. He is a character and a half. Catie is in front of him and Sam is learning a lot by staring at the back of his head.

The view looking south from atop a hill near Monte Conero.

We walked down about a half mile of ridiculously steep path to get to the beach but the view at every turn was breathtaking. I've never seen or been in water that color in my entire life so this was pretty exhilarating for me. Monte Conero looms over the Adriatic Sea on the right.

The beach looking north from a few kilometers south of Ancona.

A little rainbow I made with beach stones. The beach was a riot of technicolor pebbles. The water was molto bellisima, at about 24 C, about 75 F.
